NSS Trade (India) Private Limited / NSS Logistics (India) Private Limited has acquired the company formerly known as M/s. N. S. Shetty, a proprietorship concern in the business of trading & logistics formed by Late Shri. N. S. Shetty in the year 1960-61. The acquisition was effective from 1st July, 2007 onwards.

Originally the operations of M/s. N.S.SHETTY were limited to handling & transportation of Gypsum. Later it started trading in Gypsum along with its former activities. The Proprietor was a self made businessman and has vast experience in the line of trading and transportation. He was engaged in this activity for over five decades.

NSS Trade (India) Pvt. Ltd. is registered with the Railway Goods Clearing and Forwarding Establishments Labour Board for Greater Bombay & The Goods Transport Labour Board for Greater Bombay. The company is appointed by M/s. Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd, Mumbai as an authorised Gypsum handling contractor. At present it owns a fleet of over 50 trucks and two hydraulic excavators (CAT-320CL & L&T Komatsu PC 200-6). Apart from these, approximately 350-400 trucks are associated with it for the routine transport business. It has around four hundred permanently registered mathadi workers of labour board deployed at different work sites in and around Mumbai region. The company is involved in marketing & sales of Gypsum/Chalk and Fly Ash various industries. It has a very long association for supply, handling and transportation of Gypsum by road & rail to various cement, fly ash bricks, plaster manufacturing clients along with agricultural marketing associations on regular basis.
